electrical questions

i recently purchased a used 03 CTD 4X4 and am having a few electrical malfunctions with it. the first problem is i don't have any back-up lights when i put it in reverse-NV5600. when i checked the bulb sockets they had no power as well as both 7 pin plugs. any ideas on this? could the switch be bad? also, sometimes when i turn the headlights off, the headlights stay on, but everything else (parking lights, fog lights) goes off. any ideas on the cause of this? thanks for any tips and responses.

reverse switch and head light delay

The reverse light thing is normal for the NV5600. I have heard numerous people complain about no reverse lights. You probably could replace the switch and they would work, but that's only if you want to. The headlight thing is only because you are turning your headlight switch off after you have turned the truck off. This is the built in headlight delay and it can be turned off if you get a programmer. Bully Dog and Smarty I know can turn this feature off as well as the dealer. I just turn the headlights off before I kill the truck and problem solved. If this doesn't solve the problem, then I might think you do have some kind of electrical problem.

thanks for the info. i suspected the switch on the tranny but was wondering about the headlight issue because i'm not aware of the manual stating a headlight delay feature BUT that don't mean that i overlooked it. thanks again.
