Driverside Rear Window Wiring Harness
Driverside Rear Window Wiring Harness
I have several times (twice) repaired my drivers side rear window (mega cab) wiring. This is what it looks like now.

Anyone know how I can re-repair my bad job? I would like to somehow add more wiring to give it some play (I don't even know the wire size to use) when opening and closing the door. I don't know how to remove the wires from the connector to do a better job. Or do you think I would be better off finding one in a junkyard? I won't do the dealership route cause it's way to pricey for me (over $250!). After I fix that side I will need to do the other door as well unfortunately.

I have found that repairs on door harnesses are usually only temporary. They usually break from all the flexing, and once you repair them they can't flex at all where the repair is. In some cases you can do the splice at each extreme end and replace the whole section of wire, but usually I would recommend a complete replacement harness.

Might be a better deal than using butt splice connectors it will allow more flex.
