Driver door sensor not working
 

I have a 06 Ram 2500 4x4 4 door truck. The door sensor stop working. The dome light does not come on and there is no ding when u leave ur lights on when u open the door. If anybody knows anything about this please reply back to this post. Thanks

I recall something about the purple wire in the wire bundle that goes from the truck to the door panel.

I've done some reading in the past about disabling that annoying door chime but the consensus was, if you cut the purple wire you'll disable the chime AND the lights (unfortunately).

Also check your fuses first to see if one is blown.
