Exclamation Door Lock Problem

So I have a problem with the rear passenger door lock not locking or un locking by the switches or by the remote. I am able do it manually and the door does have power since the window works. Just wondering if anyone had this problem before I go tearing the door apart.

After doing some more searching on here I found that it might be the solenoid switch. The problems they were having is that it will go right back in to the lock position mine will stay unlocked if left in that position. So does the solenoid sound about right?

Could be the solenoid or any of the linkages binding too,or a break in the wiring harness from the door to the frame. The power window is most likely on a different circiut /uses different wires.Every time I lock my truck ,I like to check all the door pins are down, for that reason.

They just quit working. You are able to operate the locks manually when the actuators fail. If not then it is a linkage issue. I have replaced the passenger side rear and the driver side front door lock actuators. The last one I did was the driver side front. I suspect it won't be long before I have to replace it again. It is making the same high pitched squealing noise the original made right before it quit working. Junk!
