Dome light won't go off!

No matter what I do, the dome light stays on. The map lights and cargo light go off normally but the dome light continues to burn. I tried locking/unlocking. I messed with the thumb wheel on the dash. Everything else seems right but the dome light is stuck on. It was sitting at the airport for 4 days (wasn't on when I parked it). I unlocked, started it up and it's been on since - that is, until I finally removed the bulb to prevent the battery from draining.

Unless someone has a better suggestion, I will try disconnecting the batteries for 15 min. I just hope this isn't a sign of a failing PCM.

It shouldn't run the battery down, These trucks shut down after a preset time if there isn't any input once the key is removed. I would check the light itself to see if the switch mechanism went bad.

Well, I let it sit for a good 30 minutes after removing the key and locking the truck. It was still on. I removed the bulb. I will check tonight after work to see if there's still voltage there. This sure sounds like a relay stuck in the on position somewhere.

Oddly enough, after removing the bulb and leaving the truck sitting for 24 hrs, I decided to plug the bulb back in last night and - lo and behold - it now works perfectly. The only thing I noticed out of the ordinary is that the entire right side of the truck was water spotted which means that I was parked next to sprinklers. In the airport parking lot, I was on the end of a row. So, it's POSSIBLE that a sprinkler somehow got to the engine bay and shorted something out (relay?). Anyway, all is well now. This is the second time this truck has healed itself. The first was a spontaneous horn honk while driving down the street - also never happened again. Maybe it's Halloween . . . .
