So far nothing has caught my eye. Going to try to haggle with my salesman friday or sat and see if I can get a real deal. Maybe 10k off and breaking even (or atleast within 1k) on my trade. Thanks to everyone who is posting their quotes and anyone else who gets em' please post! I will post any info I get.

I have been haggling with my salesman for two days trying to trade a 04 SLT for a 05 Laramie. So-called EP with a 1500 rebate adds up to about 8k off list. Which would not be too bad if they would give any-where close to a decent trade allowance. So far they are staying about 5k under KBB trade value. I tried another dealer got the same deal only the new one but they were almost 6k under blue book. They both said that with employee prices on new trucks they did not want to get caught with too many used ones on the lot. I got what I thought was a pretty good deal last week before all this EP pricing started trading a 03 Stratus R/T for a 06 Charger R/T for my wife. O-well at least she is happy!

...a Stratus for a Charger? Sounds like a good decision to me too.

chestervip, don't let them steal your truck for that kind of money. they will wish they had it when the 05's are gone. In my opinion it will be worth more then if the miles are low. here's how I figure it; my 04 with 15K miles $30K, still has 55k mile warranty, their new 06 with 0 miles $35K only has 36K mile warranty, sure it's a used truck, but for around $5K less you get around 20K mile more warranty, plus you don't have to look at that ugly Dakota looking front end

I called one yesterday and they only offered me 16k on my trade. I owe 21k on it, so that's not happening anytime soon!

Where are the best dealers? There was a dealer / DTR advertizer offering 3% off factory invoice. Reading here I can get 5% off factory invoice due to new pricing?
Might be time to trade in ol reliable.

After three days of intense negotiations with my salesman I finally got him give me what I thought was a fair price for my truck. I traded a 04 SLT quad 4x4 for a 05 Laramie quad 4x4 with trailer tow antilock and a sunroof. I got 28k for my truck not to bad considering I gave 32k for it 13 months ago. The deal is going to cost me $11k but what the heck I really need the extra 10 foot pounds of torque.

Any idea what the dealer is asking for the 2004 trade-in?

Anyone from Canada here gone and priced a new diesel with the discounts going on?

I would go in but have been super busy and to be perfectly honest going to the dentist is more fun than talking to a salesman who knows nothing about what he is selling..

I will be needing a new ride more than likely within the next year so I was just wondering if this is a good time or not.

Thanks

Jason
