Dodge employee price?

On Friday a guy at work said he heard that Dodge announced that they would offer the employee price, did anyone else hear this?

Hadn't heard that one yet. I would kinda be suprised at that move. I thought the decision by GM had more to do with thier crap product lines and flat sales then with the automotive market?
We got the "Friends and Family" discount when I worked for a "tier one" vendor for Chrysler. (Lear Corp.) Savings were nice, about $2,000 off of a 2001 Stratus. I think the real "Employee" discount would have been about $3500 back then.
A Newark, DE D/C employee told me the other day that the Employee discount is up to 6K on each vehicle? Sounded a bit high.
Imagine what this can do to the USED car market?? My In-Laws have a 2004 Escalade they can't give away at this point! Take into consideration rebates, interest incentives and this new Employee Discount thing, good luck selling a low mile good "new" condition truck in this market!

whether or not GM is offering dealer pricing is moot, because thier vehicles are STILL priced ay too high, even after the discount.. Now.. a dodge dealer employee discount would be sweet.. I have a buddy that got the "employee pricing" on his new GM, and paid 40k for his truck out the door. Equipped almost exactly like mine, but his had a few less options. I paid 33.5k out the door for my truck.

My Sister-in-law is an engineer for DC and I have purchased my last 3 vehicles thru her the "real employee price" is 3% below the factory invoice, not the dealers. In fact the check that I took to pick up my truck from another dealership was more than I paid for my truck tax,tag and title included. DC lost the truck I ordered So my dealership found the eqiuvelent at another dealer. This crap that GM offers, I have serious doubts about it.

A local dealer here had an ad yesterday "one week only, below dealer employee pricing on select new DC vehicles" "this is a limited time program from DC in response to competitors employee pricing program" I may go check this out.
