Do front springs wear out?

The springs on my truck have 190,000 miles on them. Most of that was spent off-road at the oil fields as well as carrying a Ranch Hand front bumper. A buddy of mine has some replacement ones with 40,000 miles on them that he would sell me. Would it make a difference to go with newer springs? If so, how much are they worth?

Sometimes, springs "sag" a little bit, but they generally aren't a wear item. IMHO save your coin, unless you're experiencing a problem with the ones you have.
