Dinging blinkers

Hi guys,
This might be a new one for ya: I had my '03 at the local service station and they replaced my headlights a couple years ago. Ever since, when I turn on my left blinker (and sometimes my right) while my headlights are on, the pickup makes a steady dinging noise, then quits when I turn off the blinker. Never does it while the headlights are off. Any ideas?

In the past when I would hit a bump or touch the brake pedal my truck would ding and flash the lamp out light on the dash. Sometimes it would come on and stay on,but when I touched the brake pedal it would go off. So I replaced the tail light bulbs and didn't have anymore problems. Funny thing is after I figured out it was the taillight bulbs I would get out and check them they all would be working. May be a place to start looking to eliminate the problem, just my .02

When you turn the blinkers on and they ding, do the blinkers flash fast or slow? I would suggest that you start by removing the tail light bulbs and making sure that they have a good contact. Your model of truck is well known to have bad contacts at the tail light circuit strip. If you need a new one you can buy it here https://www.genosgarage.com/product/...rip/taillights
Replace any indicator bulb (front and back) that is showing any kind of blackness inside, even if it appears to be working. Get back to us later and let us know what fixed the problem.

OK, I'll try that. I just now ordered a set of circuit strips for the tail lights, so as soon as they arrive I'll throw them in and see what happens. They come with new bulbs. Thanks!

I just got my new circuit strips and bulbs and installed them; still dinging. I found that I had about an inch and a half of ice in the bottom of my right taillight, so my back-up light bulb on that side was burned out. Could that water have affected anything beyond that?
