Thumbs up Diesel concentrate

Has anyone used the Amsoil diesel concentrate? If so how does it compare to
power service and what seems to be the most liked brand from anyones experience? Any other products that i could try?

Thanks

I don't think anyone can give a fair answer to that.I've tried several different brands. Can't tell a difference in any of them much less any difference if its straight diesel or has a additive.Would like to see some REAL world testing showing that ANY of the additives really do anything other then lighten your wallet.

I use a mixture of Power Service (gray bottle)and Howes Meaner Cleaner injector cleaner. It does seem to make my truck run a little smoother and not quite as noisy. But there again that could just be in my head

2 stroke ASHLESS oil is what you are refering to.Howes Meaner Cleaner is another brand.Howes products hve been around a long time.Find it at truck stops.I did have a friend with a 03 and a stall/hesitation issue.Had a bad FCA.He could add a big slug of a number of differant additives and it would be ok for that one tank of fuel.If not used it idle poor, stalled just of idle etc.The only BIG slug of additiive that did NOTING for it was LUCAS.Had no affect.Powerservice,Howes,Ashless 2 stroke oil and Marvel Mystery oil all had a affect. But Lucas did not.Even with almost a entire bottle it did nothing.

ok.. so 2 stroke ashless oil ! So that does what to the fuel adds more lubricity?
This is my 1st diesel 04.5 and from what igather its a good one.(roasting mustangs and dusting duramax's) It seems to me this motor is like the old goat on the farm it will eat anything you put in the fuel tank.

These new diesels are not ole goats that can burn anything. That was 12 valve days. These new ones can ruin injectors and burn pistons pretty darn easy. You'll roast many a other car/diesl out there but remember these key words. You play, you pay!
