Did tank and rollover vent mods today
 

It took me 4 hours, thats with a trip to parts store for tubing, T, and fuel filter and a run to the yard to get my tool trailer...I put the jack under the trailer hitch to lift the body, it made the elect and fuel line connectors easy to access. I used 2 tension straps to lower the tank (thanks Larry, great idea) cause it was about 1/3 full, straps made it a piece of cake. Can't wait to fill up tomorrow. Now I wish I'd put a walbro in while I had it down. The dieselmax instructions are a must for any novice. Their explainations were very clear and made the installation simple (I used the GDP kit but read all I could find here on the forums before hand). Good job Dale. You should be able to put in 40 + gallons now and increase your cruising range by a 100 miles or so. When I did mine I didn't notice anything dirty in my fuel tank at all. Clean as a whistle. But I still feel better knowing those plastic barbs are closed off and still vented via the fuel filter.

mine had lots of "dirt" in the tank, and there were metal shavings in the screen on the pump. I guess if you can see it it won't go through the filter. I was more worried about having to stick my hand in the tank to retrieve the nut after I dropped it! [duhhh]
