debating colors.
I have a friend that is in the process of buying a 06 or 07 cummins 2500 4wd but he cant decide on what color. we have a friend who buys at auctions, and we cant go, so he has to tell him his preferred colors.
CAn yall post up pics of 06-07 trucks and tell the colors. yea, its a dumb post, but very helpful. thanks a bunch. and its a chance to whore your pictures. |
black is cool but a pain in the rear to keep clean. I like inferno red and patriot blue.

I like Electric Blue, White, Flame Red, Silver, Mineral Gray, Inferno Red, and Atlantic Blue in that order.
Black is a pain in the butt to keep clean. Too much work IMO. Also, Gray and darker red is harder to keep looking good. White is by far the easiest. Silver is also pretty nice. Light blue and red is inbetween. Not an 06 or 07 but I really like the red! http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/m...rearblk001.jpg |

Here's another Patriot Blue with sprayed black rocker panels. Since these pics were taken over a year and a half ago, I've since de-badged the truck.
|
No pictures, but I vote for the silver or gray. Easy to keep clean and looks good even when dirty. My first dodge was patriot blue and darned near as hard to keep clean as black.

mineral grey!!

My vote is for Mineral Grey. It looks good dirty, but GREAT clean. You won't even know how dirty it is until you go to wash it. Every time I start washing my truck I am amazed at how filthy it really is. Every day I walk out to my truck I am happier than the day before that I chose Mineral Grey over Electric Blue (my previous choice).

The mineral gray looks nice however it definitely shows scratches pretty bad. My buddy has a nice mineral gray 04.
White is the best when it comes to scratches and dust. Silver doesn't show dust and scratches look minimal. The light blue and red are similar when it comes to scratches and dust(not as good as white, better then darker colors). The darker, the worse it is. |

As far as white being the easiest to keep clean, being a long time white-vehicle owner, i have to disagree. I put white right in front of black and dark blue as the HARDEST to keep clean. It doesn't show swirl marks or light clear coat scratches much but DEFINATELY shows nearly every speck of dirt that gets on it. Im not sure where you live where all the dirt and dust in the air is white but ANYTHING of any color against a white background shows up. |
bronco, your truck is AWESOME! very nice man... i like the mineral grey but my best friend has that color 03 2500 ctd.... so i think im going to try and find a silver met, or a black 06 or 07 6 speed 5.9L 4x4 short bed QC laramie or slt.
thanks alot for all the pics guys. |

It looks pretty close. Didn't know they didn't offer the mineral gray.
Anyways the gray definitely looks good. With the stuff that happens to trucks white is nice. I wish I had white. I can deal with silver, light blue, gray or red though. I had Dark Garnett Red on my 01 and it was a PIA to keep it looking good! |
Metallic Grey then White

Saw a Graphite metallic half ton at wal-mart today so i pulled up next to it and snapped a couple of shots. Both of these trucks are filthy due to the thunder storms for the past 3 days and much of the distinction is lost in the photograph but you can still clearly see the difference.

Khaki was my second choice, first is mineral grey. This was the last time I washed it about a year ago. Rain sure does a good job getting the mud off grey. It doesn't look too dirty now. I also used to have a mineral grey '04 (only kidding Bronco [laugh])
