Usually a suddenly appearing problem is directly related to the last thing you touched. I'd air them up and go from there. Alignment next. Mine was caused by worn ball joints.

Didn't you just change the track bar bushings as well? That would be the first thing replaced and with something other than new factory units.

Also fill out a signature so the folk here can see what you have.

What tires are you running? The BFG's seem to be suceptible to death wobble.

This is likely because they are tall, wide, and not the proper E rated tires for the truck.

Didn't upset me at all, just trying to help out and knowing what kind of rig you have and what might be in it helps us to help you.... Sorry if I came off as being a little cranky, been sick all week.

Interesting that your dealer admits it is common. Other dealers say they have never heard of it on a Dodge, lol. I’ve never had it and don’t want any part of it.

I wonder what is going to happen when a large percentage of these trucks really get some miles on them?

Did you get an alignment too? Guys are saying that generous caster helps prevent DW (5-7 deg) rather than the specified 4.5 I believe. Maybe your caster was generous and they set it back to stock? If not I’d say something is up with those tires? They did give you E rated tires?

FWIW when I had the wobble start on almost any pothole over 50 MPH on my 10,000 mile 97 2500 that was on 35 14.5 16.5 at the time the solution was a Moog replacement track bar and it never happened again in 80k miles even after I went to 38s.

You bet James,,, I'm feeling like **** myself ,, and now this stupid wobble ,I'm kind of leaning to the bushings being worn out even though, I don't see any play..front end looks tight ,
They are E-rated and I had them Road forced balanced ,but no alignment,if it don't snow here tomorrow I'll double check the frount end ,,,,, Thanks

I've come to the conclusion that the root cause of DW in these particular trucks is a fundamentally deficient front suspension and steering design. Any number of secondary causes (tires, alignment, joints, lifts, yada, yada) either alone or in concert may come into play to set up the vibratory harmonic that sets it off. The best approach is simply good maintenance in terms of inflation pressure, high-quality e-rated or better tires, more frequent aligments and early replacement of wear parts.
