dash board vibrates

my dash board vibrates when i turn my heater fan on medium to high speed. it sounds really bad. It seems to me that the fan has become unbalanced. has anyone had this problem before, if so ho hard is it to get to the fan.

Funny you asked this because mine just started doing this today. I was going to come on here and see if this had already been discussed. I haven't taken a good look yet but it sounds like the same problem (same year truck too). Mine doesn't blow any air now either, but the heater still warms up.

Type "blend" into Search in the blue toolbar, and see if anything describes what you are talkin' about...

Funny you should mention this. I took my truck into the dealership to have this problem fixed and they called today and said that a door was broken in the dash. This is a door that directs the air flow and the entire dash has to be taken off, the door replaced and the pullies checked and then put back together. The dealership said it is an entire day's work.

Hope this helps.

It should be a factory recall, the service guy told me that he gets dodge vehicle in all the time that have that problem.

As for getting a new one, you may have to get one from the dealership.

It's the recirc door - Mine has broken twice now and it does the same thing you described.

Heres the fix that you dont have to take the dash out for.

thanks everyone for pointing out the blend and recirc door threads. There's a bunch of them and not just here.

My issue is definately the recirc door and I have an appointment to take it in to the dealer on Monday for repair. He too said it's an all day job. From other posts I saw the blender door is an $800 repair so I'm glad I'm still under warranty. But that won't be for very long and it seems a lot of guys have had to do the same repairs 2 and sometimes 3 times. I hope it doesn't happen again. What a hassle. Geez, why can't Dodge get such a glaring problem resolved?
