Cooldown Timer Recommendations

Hey all - I'm looking for a simple cooldown timer that I can easily choose some different shutdown times - say 2 minutes to 10 minutes. I'm not very interested in the autotimers.

Suggestions on products?

ISSPRO makes a Turbo Temp. Monitor(TTM) that you can set different temps for the truck to shut off at. Use existing Thermo-couple or use new...pretty nice.

I leave mine set for 2 minutes. This is the one that came with my edge/attitude(not available on the 05 models though). It has a setting to use EGT as your shut off but I don't know what temp to set it at.

Ditto!

I wanted mine timed vs. temperature activated because of where my pyrometer is located, most go off either post turbo or closer to the turbo, where as how I have mine reads a little hotter....
That and ive never needed over 2min to cool it down when empty, even coming in hot off the highway....

I have a pic in my gallery, installed it in the knee bolster under the dash...

I've had my Howard's Cooldown Timer a tad over three years now.

Very affordable, works as described, able to be installed by a novice (Me!).

Can't go wrong. Three settings on mine; two, four or six minutes. Used to be an advertiser on this site.

Good luck!

I second the isspro unit, works awesome,, just set it for around 350, give or take,, and forget it. I even setup a switch to turn the unit off for emergencies or when I pull up to a gas pump and the attendant gets all antsy about my truck running.

I’ve had one of these for almost 3-years now, works great! But honestly I only have little over 8,000. miles on my truck!
Easy install, I bought the 1 to 15-minute timer, hardly ever have to set it more than 4-minutes!

I know you said you didn't want a temp-based timer, but I have a BD Power temp controlled timer. It works OK, but it seems like the temperature is half random. I used to have one of their digital temp based timers that interfaced with the X-Monitor but I got rid of the X-monitor and got the analog version. The digital version was perfect and turned off at exactly the same temp every time.
