Code question
This is an instrument cluster error code and you get them by holding in the trip rest button while turning on the key. A self test of the lamps and gauges is done first and then any errors are displayed. The errors are two two digit numbers the first two digit number is the error code and the second two digit number is the number of times the key has been cycled on since the error happend.
Error 66 is "All door lock output circuit shorted to ground or voltage."
Error 66 is "All door lock output circuit shorted to ground or voltage."
codes vs hours
I think you guys are viewing engine hours. Thats why its changing by one every time you do it. To check engine codes, you turn the key on three times (without starting), the codes will show if there are any, then it will say "done".
I could be wrong.

I mentioned this code to a dealer today. Service manager said that checking for codes this way isn't that reliable. He said they usually wait for trouble light to come on, or problems to occur, then check codes on their diagnostic computer. Comments??
Your code could have been set by a temporary glitch which is why the dealer made the comment, "not reliable". But that's true for ANY code whether it's the instrument cluster self check or the ECM/PCM codes. Since your door locks are working, I'd say don't worry about it and press on. But to confirm, do your door locks work from both the driver's and passenerger's switches and the key FOB? If they do, press on and don't worry about it.
