i had an 03 that did that. i'm not really sure how often it did it because like you say, it only stayed on for just a second. i would notice it just every once in a while. just happend to be looking at the right time. never did find out what it was. the truck always ran great and the guages always read normal. sure didn't want to take it to the dealer for something like that. i would have surely gotten my truck back with a "could not duplicate" note on the work order.

sorry couldn't be more help.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like your truck was doing the same exact thing. I've never had any problems with it and the gauges all have a good reading. Do not think I will be overly concerned.

Mine does it once in a while. Also had the low washer light come on only one time so far. But not enough for me to take it in.

Mine does this too. There are no other negative effects so i'm not going to take it in for the TSB.

Mine did it , had the TSB for "erroneous indicator light" done and it fixed the annoying problem.

It only happened several times but I hate to see anything light up on the instrument panel that signals a potential problem.

It drives me crazy when little things like that happen to my baby, but thanks to forums like this I knew about the TSB.

I am with the vote for leave it alone crowd. I am not too wild about having the radio removed for the reflash. Mine use to do it and I say use to because it seems to have self healed. At first I would notice it once a month then once or twice a week and it has now been 6-8 months since I have noticed it.

yeah i think i would leave it alone also. i did. i wouldn't worry too much about having the reflash done and if i would have kept my 03 (and known about the reflash) i would have probably have had it done. but since it is just a reflash and it is obiviously not a "real" problem then i think you are okay. if you have your truck serviced at some time you might consider getting it done then.
