Can the brake controller connector be removed from it's mounting place?

I can't plug my brake controller into the connector under the dash, because of the large wiring harnnes that runs right in front of the connector. Is there a way to un-snap the blue connector under the dash, then plug the brake controller end into it and snap the controller back on? I have tried to unsnap it but didn't try to hard, didn't want to brake it of then have it hanging in the way.

Thanks

Are you sure you can't push the big harness off to the side? Mine was difficult to get plugged in as well but once it is in, it all fits ok. It was a very tight fit though.

Re:Can the brake controller connector be removed from it's mounting place?

I installed my Sirius Radio a few weeks ago and then had to free/ loosen nearly everything down low & left of steering column.

Sure the brake controller connector is part of a module fastened with a 3/8"-10mm bolt.

I was able to pry my wireing harness to accept my tow/ brake control.

Now, try to fit the Sirius Radio receiver way up there left of the speedo... A real knuckle scraper

I had to move mine to get the brake controller plug in. The connect unsnaps from it's holder. I use tiewraps to hold the assembly in place after relocating it.
