A/C Question. Where is the low side port?

I brought in the evaporator and drier, $857 later, the truck is done.

So i checked the compressor. Its gettin power and ground going to the compressor when the a/c switch is turned on. when switch is turned off the compressor is not getting power. sounds like a compressor, right?

Sounds like a bad clutch coil. It can be purchased and replaced separate from the compressor.

As for the compressir it does not kick on at all when the truck is runnning. Whats the next step?
Awhile back I replaced the coil on my friends 06 compresser, it was burnt bad and wouldnt work so check your compesser coil for contanuity, if its bad they say its not sold, but its a simple job, and i can tell you where to get a new coil.

The problem with changing the clutch at home is getting the gap set correctly. it may work for awhile, but may not work for the long term.
