A/C-Heater recirc door ?
A/C-Heater recirc door ?
So was having a lot of noise with the fan on high and found several posts about the recirc door breaking and falling down to block air flow. Followed procedure of removing glove box and dropping fan. There it was, broken recirc door blocking fan output. I removed the broken door and cleaned out all broken pieces and decided that it wouldn't hurt anything to leave both recirc and fresh air unblocked. Everything is working as it should and now have a much improved A/C output, not to mention a quiet high fan.
Question is, will leaving these air intakes both unblocked cause any problems??
After all it is just air going in for the fan to blow it through the system. Am I missing something??

I've been without my recirc door for 9 years now. The replacement parts I have, the ambition is going to be up to the next owner. The only issue I have had is with high humidity days and the inside of the windshield starting to fog over. Turning on the defroster mode makes that quit quite quickly.

I think high humidity will cause some foging whenever the defrost mode is off even if the recirc door is operational.
