A/C Compressor

Does anyone know exactly what is the trigger to cause the A/C compressor to shutoff while driving? Is it above a percentage of engine load or above an RPM threshold?
It really is a PITA here in southeast TX in the summer when the compressor shuts off. Is there any way to prevent this?

Two things can cause the compressor to shut off. ugh... I mean 3.

1.) The High/Low pressure switch. If the pressure is above or below a set pressure it will kick off the compressor.

2.) The fin temp sensor. If the Evaporator get's to cold it will also shut off the compressor to prevent the Evap. from freezing up.

3.) All most forgot. The A/C switch or fan switch.

I agree with the 3 reasons listed, but I still believe there is a programmed cutoff under load or RPM threshold. It happens when I take-off from a stop or accelerate while driving. I guess it is possible the pressure is triggering the high side cutoff switch??
