c-code?
c-code?
Just wondering if anyone can tell me what c-code 64 is? I'm having speedometer problems and I suspect maybe that has something to do with it. I am going to send my cluster out to a speedometer repair shop tommorow but I would like to know what that is before I do. Thanks
C codes come from the Instrument Cluster self-test which is initiated by holding down the trip odometer button and turning the ignition switch to on. All of the needles and lights move/flash in the instrument cluster and then the C codes are shown in the odometer window at the end.
C code 64 in the 2004 shop manual is "Driver door lock switch input circuit open." For some reason, this is a common code and probably doesn't mean anything.
If you want to get the other computer codes, you have to turn the ignition switch on/off/on/off/on and leave it on. Those codes will also be displayed in the odometer window.
Can you describe your speedometer problem?

There are OBDII C Trouble Codes also. They are Chassis codes. P codes are power train. B codes are body. U codes are computer network. Not sure Chrysler or Dodge would display those codes though.
