After running for a few minutes, my a/c motor begins to make a noise like fingernails on a chalkboard (do they still make chalkboards?)
It is a steady squeal ....not like the cage is hitting something. Sounds like maybe the center pin of the cage is worn out...like maybe a plastic stem spinning on plastic.

My a/c blows just fine, so I think the blower motor.

I'm familiar with the recirc door issue. I have 180+kmiles so I reckon that might be going soon.

Question: Blower motor? and if true, does anyone have instructions for changing the motor?

Sounds like a blower motor/wheel to me, but may be something in there that shouldn't be. In either event, disconnect the harness, remove the 3 screws holding it in, pull/tilt the motor/wheel assembly out (should be the same as an '03). Check for debris.

Installation is just as easy.
