Ah, the good old days. I had a 68 charger that I rebuilt back in '78. Had to make a new wiring harness under the dash because of the pre owner installed an 8track tape player wrong and caught the harness on fire. And to think I was cusin' that guy out for all that work that needed to be done to rewire the dash. Thats nothing compared to the cars and trucks today.

Was that amp draw on the black/blue wire pulsing like the gray/red wire?

yes, when the gray and red stripe wire went to zero so did the ground wire. I guess I need to check that ground right quick because I need to return this amp clamp, I'm kinda **** about borrowing tools, as long as this is taking me maybe I should buy one. LOL

Did you try the wiper motor? If that did not work, with the 26 pin gray and 16 pin gray plugged in, unplug the 26pin white connector. Note if the draw / pulsing stopped. Plug in the white connector and unplug the 16 pin gray connector. Did the draw / pulsing stop? Unplug the 26pin white and the 16 pin gray connectors. Did the draw / pulsing stop?

Long day today, started at 4:30 this morning and just got in, I have the next 4 days off so will have some time to work on this again. I'm going to try the different connectors and see when the drain stops before I take the cowl apart. Actually I'm going to do that right now and will report back

tried every combination possible, the only thing that changes the draw is the gray 26 pin connector

I'm thinking if the wiper motor isn't the problem, just put a toggle switch in the wire with the draw, problem of battery drain would go away.

The gray 26 pin connector has the Can bus connections #17&18 White & white/orange. This connector also contains most of the switches inside of the truck (see list I gave you on page 3). The problem here is that the other moduals on the can bus could be causing the cluster to "wake up" or the switches in the cab listed could be causing it. The only way to know if the cluster is bad or it is another mod is to plug in a star scan tool. Do you know any one or a dodge mechanic that does "side work" with a star scan tool? Did you pull all the fuses except #11 and see if the draw stops? Sorry, out of ideas if this does not help.

If you did not try the fuse removal except#11 give it a try. It will only take 5 min.

That was the first thing of my elimination process. Fuse 11 was the only fuse that made any difference, all other fuses showed no change in draw.

The cluster MAY be bad or it could be a switch or a modual or a load that is not fused. You Need the star scan tool and the directions to trace the problem to its source.
