Back from Body Shop

Since my wreck I lost the truck for 6 weeks having to drive a Ford Edge rental

Six weeks later, 6K in the axle replacement, about 3K in body work she is back on the road.

BEFORE

AFTER, oh yeah and with a ton of mulch...

So glad to have her back.

Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03...QQcmdZViewItem

I actually like them. They put off a really cool beam, more concentrated. They have little LEDS in the bottom that I changed to amber to match running lights. They are kinda cheap but I they work nice and are worth their price. I couldn't see paying $400 for some these where the same price in the pair as one factory headlight so i figured, Why Not. I needed a headlight anyway.

I will try to take a picture at night, they look pretty cool.

the truck looks nice, but the headlights just arent at home on a truck. projectors belong on expensive european luxury cars.

Coopers are holding up GRRREAT. I payed $850 for them, Last year, since then put about 15-20k on them, I would guess they are about half worn. Most might see that as bad but I feel thats pretty good for a radial Mud tire.
And the traction is awesome, in the snow I hardly need 4x4. Of course that is compared to All Season Stockers.
My next set of tires will be the same...

I wonder how the headlights would perform with a set of HID bulbs, any thoughts?

If the light cutoff is good with them then they should be good to go.

I have heard of this before, do a search on here it has been talked about. The lights have a note that states "Not for Use with HID"
If you mean the HID type halogen bulbs and not the real HID, I have a set of 8000k 100w H1 bulbs in them. Not much different than standard bulbs but they do have different color and those work fine maybe a little brighter.
