Attention all Dodge owners and future owners

I think its time to start a list of bad dealers so we can protect each other from future problems. I don't want anyone to have to go through what I have. These dealers that cheat people need to be stopped!!!!! I will be the first one to post.

How did you finally make out on your tranny problems? Haven't seen anything more on your troubles.

Edited by Admin.
Long list of problems from them on my 04.5 due to mechanics mistakes and them giving me a hard time to get repairs done & paid for by them when their problems caused me to break down in Brandon Flordia. Fl dealer wanted $1600 up front to repair due to "Mechanics incompeniance" which took 2 district managers to sort out and get paid for and me sitting holding the bag at 24000 miles and still under full warranty at the time.

I understand your reluctance to post names/places but I do have the district managers notes on my saved work orders from the repair saying "Poor mechanical work caused the failure, fan not locktited and/or torqued incorrectly and allowing it to come loose and cause other damage rendering the truck inoperatiable" plus a few other notes. Sorry for posting the name though...Don

I hear 'ya, been thinking about posting a thread on that topic for quite sometime.

Dodgeram.info has something like it:
http://dodgeram.info/survey_dealer/Dealers.htm

Another site I belong to (for my bike) has a forum for dealer feedback. People post both good and bad experiences with various motorcycle dealers. Definitely a public service. Get admin to go for it!

Seems to me every Dodge dealer in the country is 5 star. At one tome I thought this really meant something. I wonder what it really takes to earn this rating? And if all or most Dodge dealers are 5 star then Chrysler maybe needs to re-examine this program.

Amen! I have gotten my best deals & service lately from the ones without 5 star on their wall.

Actually it isn't time to do any such thing on this forum. Stuff like this is entirely nonproductive unless every single complaint is backed up by factual evidence that will withstand scrutiny in a court of law.

If not, then the only thing you accomplish is to hang my neck out in the wind susceptible to a frivolous lawsuit by some eager beaver law dog. What we end up with is nothing more than one sided complaints with no real proof and no way for anyone to know the whole story.

I have been through some horrible experiences myself with some dealerships, but I have no desire to spend all my retirement funds trying to battle losing libel cases in court for any of you.

No offense, but in this world of people being sued every time they turn around, I choose to not become another victim of runaway misuse of our legal system.

If you guys want to put a couple million dollars in a legal defense fund for DTR, I will be happy to reconsider this idea

How about if we post outstanding dealership experiences?

The dealers are supposed to diagnose and repair, they're supposed to make you a fair deal and get your vehicle to you in top shape in a timely manner.....
I'm not talking about just good exp's but how 'bout the over and above stuff?
You probably can't be sued for giving "props" for exceptional service. Of course it may be a short post...

Talked to the Foreman at Michael Stead Chrysler in Walnut Creek this morning about installing a Quadzilla, he said no problem, if it's warranty it's warranty, if it's a problem with the programmer he'll charge me of course.

Also talked to the lead Diesel tech about some issues, seems he knew what I was talking about with out having to look up TSB's.

Bad side...They still want $60 to activate my high idle, I'll wait until I encounter someone that can do it with their programmer or wait until I get back near my selling dealer.

That makes much more sense from a legal standpoint, I would think dealers would prefer to be listed favorably, even on a short post.

I might consider a "Good Neighbor Dealer" type of thread....it would accomplish the same basic goal in the end. A list of good experiences by members, but then you have Dealers logging on under false names to give themselves glowing recommendations.

Sadly in the end I just don't see where something like this will actually benefit anyone.
