Anything else or better I can do to unofficially increase payload on my 2500?
In the market for a new truck but here in Hawaii options are really limited right now and prices are high. I have a 5.9 2500 I have been using for towing and hauling. It’s been a solid truck. The engine has never had a problem and only has 100k miles on it. It’s appearance is an eye sore. It was an old city & county vehicle that got in an accident and got banged up. I’m probably gonna keep the truck even when I buy a bigger one but wondering is there anything besides putting a 3500 dual rear wheel axle on it?
No one ever put a 4500/5500 rear axle because of the tire size difference? And also frame limitations? I know the 2500 is not meant to haul a big payload but I have definitely hauled some hefty loads with just airbags and going very slow over bumps/turns |
