air only blows out the front vents??

air only blows out the front vents??

on my 03 ctd i am only getting air to come out of the front vents of the dash. my blower speed **** works fine and my blend controls 4 duel climate zone work fine as well. i can switch it from hot 2 cold no prob. But my **** that controls where the air blows from is nt working?? i need this air 2 blow on defrost so when it gets 2 humid when it rains, i can clear the windshield. so whats broken/needs replaced and how 2 fix's. Heck even if i can jerry rig it to blow on defrost all the time wld b fine 4 now. thanx guys.

It sounds as if you have the typical blend or mode door breakage in the heater plenum box. I have attached a link to the Heater Treater website that provides the answers as to which door(s) require replacement. They also have the heavy duty upgraded parts that you will need as well. I recommend you replace all of the doors (blend and mode) at this time.

Heater Treater is the way to go.

I had to replace my broken Recirculator door last summer.

Blend door is broken or Blend door motor is inop more than likely.

Thanks Dr.Dizzle for the link to Heater Treater. I'm happy to see they make it appear to be pretty straight forward and it won't break the bank. I was considering taking it to the dealer prior to seeing the video's. Thankfully now I won't need to!
