Air horn mounting.....

Air horn mounting.....
I recently got a set of the three trumpet "train horns" for free. It has two larger horns on bottom with a third smaller stacked on top. All three share a manifold so separating them is a last resort. Has anyone ever mounted a set like this under a short box? If so, where?

I have the same horn set up. It's mounted on the inside of the frame rail, driver's side, between the front and rear door, facing forward. This is the only pic i have, but i'll try to get some tomorrow.

my horns are just in front of the rear of the cab and the rear tire liner. under the bed. outside of the frame.
i have a train whistle and a twin truck horn.
twin truck horn is using a electric valve and the train whistle uses a manual air valve.

That last pic is too dark, but together they give you a pretty good idea where mine are - bolted to the bottom of the bed, just above the rear axle to the passenger side of the pumpkin:

Mine are in the same place as ACE's.
I had to cut the bracket and re-weld it to make it sit high enough to clear the pumpkin. I have two facing forward and one facing rear. The compressor and extra tank are mounted to the outside fram rail on the pass side.

I just installed a set of 4 horns from hornblasters:
Two are in "front" of spare tire (one facing left, one facing right)
Other two are on the INSIDE of passenger frame rail above the TRX skid plates (one facing fwd, other facing back).
Have compressor/tank mounted inside toolbox. and the water issue, it was recommended to me by hornblaster to fill them up with water and turn them upside down to let dry (for cleaning purposes). Just DON'T use compressed air to clean them!
Hope this helps a bit..
