AC Dead

2003. Doesn't have dual climate zone. Was working OK, stopped truck to go in store, never touched the AC controls. Came out and restarted truck. AC dead, no blower, no nothing. Turned the controls on and off several times but still dead. Checked the fuses associated with the AC with an ohm meter and all checked good. Swapped the relay with a like relay, still dead. Pulled the blower motor out and jumpered directly to 12 V battery and it ran. Checked at the plug to the blower, and saw 12.65 volts. Put back together and of course still dead. I can hear the compressor coming on when the yellow button is pushed along with a very slight change in RPM. I can also hear the doors opening and closing. Any ideas?

The problem was the ignition module on the steering column. The controls on the AC were not getting 12 volt to operate.
