601.3 miles / 31.74 gallons

Granted its not 700 mile club territory but its the best for me so far. That is hand calculated 18.94MPG 400 miles highway 200 city. Overhead read 18.5

Highway miles were cruise around 60MPH for the most part. Speed limits here are 55 to 65 depending on area.

Not too bad really. All stock except 2" level.

Is 20 do able??? Dont know...I would have to think maybe so if all highway unloaded.

I cant even imagine driving your truck. Its gotta be just silly.
For me so far so good. Ordered gauges this week, then I will add a little power (smarty JR most likely---dont want to spend for a new trans yet ) and that should be good for me w/ this truck...I think ...I hope

Famous last words.....

Power is addicting for sure and it's a slippery slope... take heed...

How in the world does one modify the heck out of a CTD and drive it 55mph worring about MPG? Yea, don't remind me I noticed diesel @ $3.45/gal today.

Up here we only dream of $3.45 a gallon. The cheapest I have seen is $3.60 to $3.80

The highest I have ever gotten was 21.8mph going 65mph. That trip was from Casper, WY to Coeurdalene ID was almost 800 miles on 1 tank.

This simple mod will squeeze the first 100 miles out of the top of your tank.

It sure is, both doable and hard. LOL! Mine's never been over 62mph (our speed limit) in its life. Overall average, all hand calculated, over the life of the truck is 16.98mpg US. And there's a lot of cold weather warmup time involved there. But I very seldom do short runs or city. Summer fuel straight highway empty at speed limit will get me just over 20 consistently. Normally cruise between 1700-1750 rpm. I find for every 5 mph I back down, mileage goes up close to 2mpg. Run at a constant 50mph, 24mpg easy. Winter fuel drops mileage considerably, up to 4mpg.
