305's are no problem at all. Do it.

You love how they ride, the look and they fit stock or aftermarket rims

I'm interested in that tire too. With my stock 8" rims,I wore the centers out of my 285-75-17 Toyo AT's with a psi of 65 with the camper load.

I'm concerned about repeating the wear with 305's as I want to keep the stock wheels.

BFG KM2's, I do like how they work in multiple conditions, problem they do wear very fast but evenly with very regular rotations, I think when BFG switched out the old style M/T's for the KM2 they softened the rubber compound, the old style M/T wore like iron under any truck I had them on, be lucky if I get 25k out of these.
