2007 Megacab, no blower motor.

So I have a 2007 Megacab with the dual climate control. I started having issues with the blower motor not turning on, I would tap the box under the glove box and it would work. Well that stopped working. So I searched around and read that it could be the blower motor resistor. I went to autozone and they wanted to know if the truck had rear a/c. I said no it just has vents, so they gave me the non rear a/c resistor($65). It is totally different then what I have, so I took it back. The rear a/c resistor is a special order product and itis $155. So before I start throwing money at it is there a way to test the blower motor resistor? Should I be checking the a/c controller? Any help is appreciated. It sucks not having a/c and living in Las Vegas.

Can't answer your question about the resistor, but if you tap the motor and it comes back on, it's the blower motor, not the resistor. I had the same exact issue on my wife's Megacab. Thought it was the resistor, replaced it and still had the problem. I then noticed that if I tapped the blower motor when it quit, it would start working again. So I replaced the blower motor and all is well.

Came across this problem with my 05 the other day. Just wentt out and gave the motor a wack with a little rubber mallet and it started blowing again. I'll leave the mallet in there so my wife can play wack a motor if it quits again.
