2003 Leather Interior Questions

Looking at a 2003 3500DRW, really clean truck. This would be my first 3rd gen and the first vehicle I've ever owned with a leather interior. My questions are how durable the leather is and if it stains easy (this has the light colored interior). I've been told that leather is a lot easier to clean and keep clean that cloth upholstry. Just trying to do my homework so I know what to expect Thanks.

I don't have any complaints with my leather, which also has the suede inserts. I do treat it every six months or so with a preservative. Only the seating surfaces is leather, the sides and back are vinyl. And the rear seat in the quad cab is all vinyl.

No complaints here either. IIRC, I used something on it in '04 or so.

My previous truck was an 03 with taupe leather. It held up very nicely.

There were threads back then about door seal leaks, a stamped alternator bracket that can break, and vibration in the pedals/wheel that occurrs right at 2,000 rpm. The cure was an update for the pressure line from the power steering pump to the hydrobooster. The updated hose has a weight and a metal crimp mid-span.

Mine has worn very well...The only noticable place is where the two .45 magazines on my left hip rub the seat back, but it has not worn through......Ben

Honestly you are going to want seatcovers on it,looks better with them anyway..far as mine I used some leather cleaner from wallyworld..belive it was for leather coats though that was a yr ago..so far they are still fine..I remove the covers 2 3 x a yr depending on how often the wife and kid get them dirty and the leather is fine..here is a good site on all things cleaning your ride...I use this site and some of there stuff http://www.autopia-carcare.com/inf-p...-polisher.html
