'06 Warranty Duration

Talking to some,I've heard that the drivetrain warranty on the '06 is only for 3 years, or 36,000miles. My bro got his '06 a few weeks ago. We live in Alberta. He ordered his truck and the sheet I'm holding says "This vehicle was built especially for- **********". It also says- 2006 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles are backed by a 5-year or 100,000-kilometre fully transerfable Powertrain Warranty with $0 deductible, plus 24-hour roadside assistance. Basic warranty is for 3 years or 60,000 kilometres. The Cummins Turbo Diesel engine is protected by a separate Limited Warranty, covering the engine for 5 years or 160,000 kilometres.

Anyway- I've heard that the '06 in the States is backed by a 36000mile or 3 year warranty on the drive train. 100,000km is 60,000 miles, also it says 5 years, not 3 on my brother's drivetrain warranty. What is going on???

starting in 06-the powertrain warranty went from 7yr-70,000 miles, down to 3yr-36,000 miles. the cummins warranty is a seperate warranty. that is 5yr-100,000 miles. i thought i saw a d/c commercial recently that gave you an option on some of their vehicles to increase the powertrain warranty instead of taking the cash back or a lower interest rate.

I understand what you are saying, but what I am saying is that this is a piece of paper with his name on it saying he has a 5 year, 100,000km warranty on the entire drivetrain. 100,000km is about 60000miles. Soooo-why is it different? [eyecrazy]

Is the warranty different in Canada than in the States?
