Attached is photo's of a part that fell from under dash into floorboards while I was driving my 03 2500 dodge diesel. Only thing not working is the heater control. I'am unable to find where it came from, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Not 100% sure, but am guessing that is the heater/vent motor speed control. Can't tell you exactly where it fits, but check around the intake duct under the dash. The cool air cools the resistors. Was there no screw on the floor too?

I tried to post a photo of the backside of the HVAC control but the site would not allow it.

From what I can see, it doesn't look like it came from that unit.

First of all thanks for the help. There was no screw that I found but there was a part I found that fits perfectly inside the piece in the photo

Here's a photo of the back of the HVAC control. Does it look like anything that may have popped out of this?

Unsure because there is nothing substantial to hold it in place, but I will take a closer look. Thanks
