If I buy a used smarty from a friend of a friend off a 08 deleted truck that has the "me" version on it, can I download the other version for my non deleted truck? Can I plug his "me" version into my non deleted truck to be sure it is not vin locked and then return my truck back to stock with no problems?

you can download the ME version to see if it is VIN locked but I would not run it as it WILL burn up the DPF FAST.

You can download the "S" software off of http://madselectronics.com/download.html and follow the directions and videos if you have never done it before. Bob also has a PDF that they have created (updating smarty for dummies) that I can email ya or someone else can email ya.

Thanks- I have downloaded the revo and the tnt files before when I owned my 03 model. I just wasn't sure if I could go from the "me" version back to the plain s67 software to use for a while until I do my deletes.
