Smarty Jr. ME is installed!

Installed the Jr. ME program on my Dad's 6.7L with the H&S delete. At first a CAN Bus error popped up, fixed it by hooking up the battery charger. After loading the program the check engine light wouldn't go out. Check the code and had to do with the DPF pressure. Crawled under the truck and sure enough, I had the pressure sensor unplugged from when I originally installed the DPF delete kit. Plugged it in and no more code (or check engine light). I also removed the Sims since they won't be needed.

I set the truck to power level 1, TQ1 and timing 3. Runs great and impressive power just for level 1!

If you just leaving everything like stock and disconnect/unplug what the directions say then all should be good. Not sure about having to plug something back in that you had previously disconnect. All my pressure tubes are disconnected.

The pressure tubes are disconnected since the truck has the H&S delete kit. It was the electrical connection to the pressure sensor that I had to plug back in. I installed the delete kit over a year ago.

Cool, that makes sense. Smarty needs that electrical to be plugged in there and the tubes disconnected, but a lot of others get unplugged. Interesting.

Glad ya got it fixed up right.

Now try #9 with the POD .

I just installed my a Smarty Jr. w/ME. It never asked me or i didnt see where is told it i had done the deletes. Is it just assumed because you have upgraded to the ME? It ran great and no codes.

A bit surprised by this, but it may run OK for now with no codes, but your system will not regenerate and you will be thrashing your expensive emmisions system. You should delete or go back to the non-ME. How long have you been running like this?

There are two separate Jr. programs for the 6.7L. The standard program for trucks with the emission system still in place and the ME for the deletes.

Have a buddy looking for a programmer, not going to do a dpf delete....now anyways.
Will the Jr ME run the truck with AND without the dpf or does the non ME only run the truck with the emissions intact?

The ME is only for trucks with the deletes. Run the standard if the emissions equipment is still on.

ME = Middle East = needs the deletes, the DPF will be damaged otherwise which is just not smart to do. Otherwise, keep them and run the non-ME.

Gonna bite the bullet and get a S67 jr. I do need to see if this truck has the bootloader installed. It has had a couple of ECM reprograms in it's history. I'm in Raleigh NC. PM me if you can help.

With the S67 on my truck stock was about 1-2 mpg improvement plus better performance. After the DPF delete, EGR Disable, more of about 3-4 mpg improvement on average at least.
