Smarty or Edge Racing?

Hey Guys,

I currently have an 07 with 143,000 miles with an Edge Juice w/ Attitude programmer and a Banks Ram Air system. I want to do some smog deletes. But I have a few questions.

If I want to remove the DPF & the EGR and do a turbo back exhaust, which programmer will work best for me?

My goals are to receive no CEL while producing better fuel mileage and power. But I don't want to rebuilt the transmission yet! That will be in the next year or two.

Does either company offer a trade in for my Juice w/ Attitude?

Being in the same boots as you, Im going to go with the Smarty for my next tuner.

May even try the Smarty Edge Stack for a while.

I think Smarty is the most reliable for the deletes, and have caught wind that the TPMS may even be next on their list.

Im plum tired of waiting for the Edge to clear trouble codes to start my truck.

Other than that though, the Edge has been a good unit.

absolutly the smarty. I have ran mine with no emmisions since they came out with the smarty me. so far not one code or light has came on. Keep the levels down and the foot out of the throttle you should see a increase in fuel mileage and still be safe for the tranny,.Im not sure on the trading business with the juice tho.

One of my friends (black betty) had the edge on his truck, and then got the smarty... he said that the edge on five had less power than the smarty on one.

He keeps the smarty on 3, and that thing is a monster... he has done the deletes also.

This is after the delete, no programmer...

It sounds a lot better with the smarty, too.

Sweet,

35's and Smarty should make for a nice combo.

Wonder if its the VGT setting on the Smarty that make it sound better. Is it less "airy"?

I don't know, but it has a better, deeper sound to it.

Sorry to hijack the thread...

Holy tongue overloads batman!! That black truck in the picture has so much tongue weight on the truck that you can actually see the bed and cab body line have been deflected.

Goofy trailer config for sure, I'd have backed that truck onto the trailer or left it there lol.

It may be overloaded, but its not that extreme.

Try this, scroll back up to the pic and cover mads truck up, the body lines do not changes, its an optical illusion caused by the trailer angle.

I think the lift makes it look a lot worse than it is.

Backing onto the trailer may have been better.

If they would have backed that truck onto the trailer it would have have put to much weight behind the trailer axles.. That would have been trailer sway city..
