About a week ago my overhead started dinging and said service required see dealer now. I checked for DTC with my Black Max Mini Max and none where found. So I took it to the dealer and they tried to delete it by turning the key to the on position and pressing the brake two times and then the accelerator two times slowly didn't work. If I go ahead and have the tuner delete the DTC,s even thought none are found it goes away for about a day but comes back. The check Engine light does not come on just the overhead and two dings. I did my deletes on the truck six months ago and never had any problems so I don't know if that had anything to do with it I don't know why something would popup six months later. Any help would be great.

You must be at 67500 miles, Required service is cleaning EGR and cooler and replaced crankcase breather filter. Since you did the deletes I quess you lucked out. Try resetting again sometimes I had to do it three times before it worked.

I have tried reseting it about a dozen times with no luck. What about disconnecting the batteries and letting the truck go into sleep mode. The dealer thought that might work any thoughts?

even if you dont have any dtc's..clear it anyway....or set your tuner back to stock then clear the dtc's, then put it back where you had it....should be ok...........

Turned my tuner down to no power and cleared the dtc's and then reset with the brake and accelerator. Service light went away for two days and now it's back. I guess i'll try disconnecting the batteries?

My 08 did that from time to time. The Smarty would clear it when I cleared the codes.

Not sure why the Black Maxx wont. Do you have the latest update on it?

I did not have the latest update. Downloaded it lastnight cleared the dtc's so far so good.

I had the same prob but doing the key ing push ped thing a few times and it worked
