I had a crack in cooler line and leaking coolant into engine. Luckily caught it soon, stock truck with 14k miles.

Am I missing something or did I just get lucky not getting air into my lines during the delete? Should I be out at the truck bleeding it? I have used it for 6 months this way and not an issue.

i have seen engines hold air for up to 2 weeks. caddy northstar is famous for that. if you did the procedure correctly and bleed the air from the bleed port on top of the t-stat housing you will be fine. I am just anal about getting all the air possible out of the system before hammering on the truck.
