I have an AD 2 installed. The pump is noisey, but has been since it was installed. I've checked and checked for vacuum leaks in the draw straw and suction line, nothing there. The other day I heard the fuel lines being noisey and grabbed the discharge line. I felt air going through the line.

Someone told me to remove the pump cover and clean it out.

I wrote to pure flow with no responses so far.

Any other ideas?

the problem with the draw straws is where the plastic tube meets the metal fitting, it gets air past in that location. its like when we were kids poking a hole thru your buddies straw on his soda. when it was full, he was ok, lower it got the harder he had to try to get soda. more than likely the problem is there and it would be inside the tank

I agree. However two things about that.

1, I am aware of the potential leaking on the barb and I put some RTV on the barb when I slipped it on years ago. I also clamped it

2. The AD1 was replaced because it started leaking. The replacement AD2 was installed on the same hardware in place. The AD2 was noisey right from then, while the AD1 was silent.

The chain ov events are not making sense
