Just saw this post and am curious about something. Can you please provide a technical explanation of how adding a second CP3 increases performance/power.

Here is how I see it. Adding a second pump will probably increase the flow or volume, but not the pressure. The injectors are designed to deliver a precise, set volume of diesel per pulse, so how will adding volume or even pressure increase performance? What am I missing?

I'm not a engineer but your stock CP3 is limited to 600HP so 2 stock CP3 pumps will handle 1,200hp . I will sooner or Later need to change my CP3 pumps to 12mm so that I can get to 2,000HP but that will be a year from now. I have to get 300% over fuel injectors which will be after I get a built 68rfe Transmission and after I build the bottom half of the engine with new rods and pistons and girdle and a stage 3 D&J Head . Right now I'm limited to 1,000HP untill I change the Head and build the lower block and build the transmission. To do it right I will need to spend $30k which will be 1-2yrs for me .
So for now my dual CP3's make more Horse Power because they can feed the fuel injectors to the max and I have a Airdog 200gph lift pump so I'm sending enough fuel to the CP3's before I installed the duals I wasn't sending enough fuel to the CP3's .

Was wondering if you needed to install bigger injectors, so this now makes sense. 300% over? WOW, what is your expected fuel consumption after all those mods? 8 MPG?

I'm not worried about mileage this Dually is going to be raced sooner or later and I will get a different truck to drive I plan on rebuilding the engine soon with a D&J Enforcer engine and head so that I can have a reliable 2k horse power truck .
