Delete/ XRT Pro coming--exhaust?
Finally!! It all comes off this week. Only thing I've got left is to figure which muffler I want. I had a straight Aero 4040 on my '04 with a 6spd and liked it a bunch---great sounding and quality piece of kit. They're plenty cheap on Ebay right now but I haven't decided between it or the 4040XL. If anybody wants to chime in, let me say that what I consider to be "drone" is the window humming, floorboard buzzing you remember from 30 years ago in your friend's '72 Nova with the twin Hookers exiting just about under the front seat LOL! A little I6 Cummins tone is fine with me. I'm just concerned that an automatic might be prone to be more "drone-ish" since the RPMs stay more constant through the gears?
Both my '04 and my '98 5spd (which was straight-piped) sounded perfectly acceptable-----er, inside the cab that is with the '98. The '04 was just right.

Hey man, I'm using a flopro exhaust. Nice & quiet inside, but has a nice tone outside. Raaaps out nice when I lay into it pretty hard when I feel like being loud.
Ona side note, is Pace close to Milton? My Grandad lives in Milton, just outside Pensacola. I seem to recall Pace...

That's the place. Right across the north end of the bay from Pensacola. Thanks on the muffler. I don't know what to get right now. I guess I'll try it straight and decide how much I want to tone it down. I'm afraid the straight through types won't quite be enough but I don't want so much that I can't get some good turbo music out of it.

Cool man. We're going to take a vaca down there this summer & spend a week or so there. Bringing the camper down, hopefully will get a spot in a camper park at the beach.

Yeah I haven't seen the new one at Pensacola Beach but look at Ft. Pickens too. If you're into history, big guns and wildlife, you'd like it. It's kind of a big nesting place for Ospreys. There will plenty of live music on P Beach too. You might even see me playin there. Oh, I got the Aero 4040 coming. It should be just right

Well, my hat goes off to H&S. This tuner is almost worth it just for the transmission tuning alone! Shoulda shifted that good from the factory. Under hood delete done and exhaust goes on tomorrow when a friend has his lift available. Can't wait to hear it and add a little juice.

Well, it's all in------PERFECT!! The Aero 4040 is just right. Just a little Cummins "thrum" around 14-1600. Nothing at all that I would call "drone". Smooth but nice and authoritative. Now it's time to play with the tuner some.
