Don't think it would help the DPF, but it does help the turbo from stucking due to soot by having it actuate and travel through out its range of allowable movement.

The DPF only gets cleaned during the REGEN cycle. You will know that is going on when your mileage drops and the tail pipe is red hot. The EB has no effect on this at all. If anything, the EB drops EGT's downstream of the turbo and does the opposite.

Or you could take it off plug one end so its water tight then fill the other end with Castrol Super Clean to the top and let it sit over night. Then next morning dump it out then clean the rest out with a high pressure garden hose then reinstall. I do mine every 2500 miles and have never had it plug up yet!!

And you do this because???? Thats what the regen cycle is for. Seems like allot service labour to me.

I have been running my truck for 11,000 miles now and I swear, I still can't tell when the regen is happening. I have never gotten any error codes except for a CEL when I unplugged the EGR. Been running it like that for a long time now and no issues.

mine had a little over 15k miles befor it did it the first time. u will hear a bell and the overhead will tell u regeneration is in process. then u will more than likely have to put it in the shop to have them clean it out.

Same here. I have seen my mileage drop towing on the freeway. But could not feel any difference. 45k miles without codes or chimes
