B&W turnover ball and 5" exhaust

Got a 07.5 dually 4x4 and a b&w turnover ball. Wanting to put a 5" flo pro turbo back exhaust on but don't know if I have the clearance. I guess the issue isn't with the hitch but the Pacbrake airbag bracket.

Id take a grinder to that bracket and round the corner if there is a clearance issue.

Don't know about those airbags, but i have firestones, b&W hitch and 5" exhaust on mine all without any clearance issues. The only tight spot with my exhaust is the 51" long muffler rides close to the driveshaft, but hasn't touched it yet.

Thanks guys, I'll go for the sawzall when the time comes. No muffler with the turbo back = no clearance issues with the driveshaft.

What that shield plate for? I would just use a hammer and put a dent in the exhaust if your worried. I usually just let my exhaust rattle on stuff adds to the effect. The TBE 5in exhaust system is pretty big pipe. I had a TBE 5in on 02 off a few sets of twins turbos. No real power advantage vs. 4in exhaust, except its louder.

My spare tire rubs/bouces off my 02 exhaust and no I don't have a shield on that. Been that way for years and yes I do tow and drive the 02.

It came with the airbag kit. I assume it's to keep the rubber bag from melting. 4" exhaust would be fine for me but the place I order my junk from has a good deal on a smarty sr./ 5" turbo back combo.

How do you like those airbags???

Im in a toss up right now between a set of bags or a set of Hellwig helper springs. Not sure which way I want to go.

Air bags deflate=noraml ride restored when not needed, plus you can adjust load and balance weight on front and rear axles some.

Unless you are over 700 hp 5 inch will gain you nothing imho. If you feel you must i would do some grinding on the bracket and some massaging of the pipe with a hammer if you need some clearance.

These are the only bags I have experience with so I can only comment on them. They have done well for two years now. The wireless air system used to pump and dump them is the cats butt though.

I wouldn't mind 4" at all but gettin' a good deal on the 5" SS pipe. I actually like the factory pipe (except for the rust) so I don't think I'll put a tip on the new pipe, just miter cut it. I guess to make it look aftermarket I can polish the end and paint a black line on it! Maybe not.
