6.7l and 5.9 crankshafts?
i had heard that the base 6.7 was the same base engine as the 5.9 with a different stroke crankshsaft. has anyone else looked into using a 6.7 cank
and rod assembly on their 5.9 or am i wrong. just imagine a 6.7 with no emmissions restrictions!!! would love to check on qsol to compare crank pt#and rod pt#, if someone has a 6.7 engine serial no. i could look it up

Using crank and rods from a 6.7 in a 5.9 might be possible as the main journals are still in the same locations.
Siamese meaning the cylinders are joined together like siamese twins.
Picture a row 6 coke cans arranged like an I6 the old way there would a little space between each cylinder. The new way there is no space between each cylinder to accomodate for the larger cylinder bores without making the actual block longer.

There is wall sharing between each cylinder to retain cylinder wall structural integrity...if they didnt do it that way they would have had to increase block length.

true, but everyone gets all excited when they hear "siamesed" and think of hot spots and poor cooling, just trying too ensure ppl knew that this "shouldnt" be the case!
