'Zilla behind the Grilla
Got the Quad std box in today. Hit the interstate "On" ramp on the 100 setting. It can MOVE!! Not quite like 450hp & 4.10 gears in my old chevy but
for a 7200 lb. truck it is IMPRESSIVE.
Quad,I think I may have gotten wrong harness? Connection for 04.5 throttle sensor is under
hood; for 05/06 is in cab above pedal. Corresponding picture for 04.5 shows
purple throttle sensor wire WITH shielded purple wire being attached to proper place under hood. Picture for 05/06 shows pedal connect in cab WITHOUT black shield (BARE purple wire). My wire harness had bare purple wire w/ spade connector at switch/box end of harness. Seems like for a 04.5
(Sensor under hood) this purple wire would be on rail & map sensor end of harness rather than on cab side of harness. Maybe this harness works for both applications? In any case got it all hooked up. The purple wire does need to be a little longer though. If that is the correct harness, theres not much slack there.
Other than the harness deal, install was easy & very good directions.On a side note, if the "Installer" is a rather large, "Portly" type the install time will
DEFINATELY be longer than 10-15 minutes.(I believe they are making floorboard areas SMALLER......
)
OK Quad. Where's the monitor?
