Your stall speed and why ?
 
I have done tons of reading on TC, single disk to five disk. I haven't heard much on the best stall per HP level. I have read some people get it to tight and other change for one tighter. I would like to know of people with a truck like mine to fine out what model you TC have and how it does in normal daily driving (city and highway). I will be adding a VB for more line pressure later Thanks

Stall speed should be near the peak torque rpm. That way the engine can get into the powerband quickly.

Stall speed is not a one size fits all deal. It's actually very much tuned to the hp of the truck. Not to mention that as you increase the power your stall speed increases. Take a look at my stock TC. It used to stall about 17-1800 back at 300hp. Now I'm at about 400hp and it's stalling at 2-2100rpms. Stall is something you need to talk to your builder about. They should be able to set it up to what ever you want. I would prefer one that stalls about 1600 so that way the engine has a little bit of time to spool the turbo and get moving before the TC lugs it down. It will also help the smoke control since the engine will already have a little bit of air moving and won't be lugging as bad. If you had a TC that stalled at say 1400rpm's, then you wouldn't have a lot of air and the engine would be lugging and you'd be smoking out intersections. I'd think somewhere around 15-1700rpm stall would be the best bet for everyone but like I said, it all depends on your setup and how much power you plan on pushing. Talk to your trans builder and they should be able to set you up. I recommend Stefan at DTT.
