Will straight pipe void factory warranty?

Dumb question but...Will a stright pipe in place of just the muffler void my factory warranty? I dont think it will, but im not 100% certain. (My warranty is 3year/36k if that makes a diff.)

depends on your dealer. most probably not but there are probably some that if you look at it wrong they will void it.

Nope. Havent seen exhaust void one yet.

Now, when you start messing with the engine, depends on the dealer, some are REAL ****, some are cool with it as long as you dont try to pull the wool over their eyes...

Just a good idea to unplug boxes, etc when you take it in for something though, just so you dont give them a reason, but sometimes you can feel them out and see if they are cool or not....

If you just cut the muffler and leave the resonator, then you shouldnt have a problem...

I'm sure he does.

BTW, that is the dumbest looking cat I have ever seen, no EGR lines coming or going, no sensors.

It looks like a fine resonator to me too!

Diesels never get sniffed.
Visual of cat, and safety only.

They NEVER put a diesel up on the rollers...

I was just gonna leave the cat on at first and just straight pipe the muffler...later on the cat will end up missing but that wont be till I have money for mods (which wont be anytime soon)
